NakshtraAI ("NakshtraAI," "we," "us," or "our") provides a Vedic life‑intelligence service that blends astrology, palmistry, numerology, and related content at www.nakshtra.ai and through connected channels such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger (the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the rights and choices you have. NakshtraAI is an entertainment and self‑reflection service — it is not medical, financial, legal, or immigration advice.

1. Who we are

NakshtraAI is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@nakshtra.ai.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide:

• Account details — your name and email. If you sign in with Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn, we receive the basic profile and email address that provider shares with your permission.
• Birth details — date, time, and place of birth, used to compute your chart and readings.
• Optional profile inputs — current location, gender, relationship or partner details, career information, and any facts you choose to save to your Memory.
• Palm & numerology inputs — palm photographs you choose to upload for analysis.
• Messages you send us through in‑app chat, WhatsApp, or Facebook Messenger.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data — features used, readings and predictions generated, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
• Cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, for analytics and advertising measurement (see §7).

Payments: payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We receive confirmation and your subscription status; we do not store your full card number.

3. How we use your information

• Generate your astrology, palmistry, numerology, prediction, and match content.
• Personalize your experience and remember facts you save so future readings are more relevant.
• Operate the Service, including accounts, sign‑in, and customer support.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions and referrals.
• Measure and improve our Service and marketing, including conversion measurement using Meta's advertising tools.
• Detect and prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)

• Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you request.
• Consent — for marketing, advertising cookies, and processing of sensitive data (for example, birth and relationship details). You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Legal obligation — where processing is required by law.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these circumstances:

• Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract — cloud hosting (Google Cloud Platform), payment processing (Stripe), messaging delivery (Twilio for WhatsApp, Meta for Messenger), and email delivery.
• AI processors — to generate your responses, we send the text of your questions and relevant profile context to large‑language‑model providers (including Google Gemini and Anthropic) solely to produce your content.
• Advertising partners — Meta (Facebook), for conversion measurement, where used only in accordance with your consent (see §7).
• Authentication providers — Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn, if you choose to sign in with them.
• Legal and safety — where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or NakshtraAI.

6. AI‑generated content

Your inputs are used to generate entertainment and self‑reflection content. Outputs are probabilistic, may be inaccurate, and are not guaranteed. They are not a substitute for professional medical, financial, legal, or immigration advice.

7. Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and the Meta Pixel to operate the Service and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Where required by law, advertising and other non‑essential cookies are used only with your consent, which you may decline or withdraw at any time.

8. Data retention

• Active accounts: for as long as your account is active, plus a short period afterward.
• Deleted accounts: purged within 90 days, except where longer retention is required by law.
• You can request deletion of your data at any time (see §9).

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the EU/UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA, Singapore's PDPA, and India's DPDP Act 2023 — you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, delete, or export ("port") your data;
• Withdraw consent, or object to certain processing;
• Opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information;
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@nakshtra.ai. You can also delete saved facts and your account from within the app at any time.

10. Security

We protect your information using industry‑standard measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest on managed cloud infrastructure, access controls, and the principle of least privilege. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International data transfers

We are based in, and process data in, the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, the UK, or other regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Child‑profile features are intended to be used by a parent or guardian about their own child.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in‑app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
